Injured players returning
Meant to be four returning over the next few weeks, if physioroom.com are to be believed.

Cresswell due back on the 15th - day we play Palace.
Carroll on the 22nd - day we play Sunderland.
Sakho and Ayew on the 30th - day we play Everton.

Obviously they'll need to be eased back in, to whatever extent. But if a couple of them hit the ground running, it could be the start of us turning things around? Ideally Cresswell and Sakho or Ayew for me, though others may disagree. Be interesting to see how Bilic and Sakho works out, assuming Slav's still the manager after the Palace, Sunderland and chelsea games.

Byram, Masuaku and Tore all still without a return date.

OM. Good question. I forgot about him! All I can tell you is on the 28th of last month, the OS said: "Havard Nordtveit had a small medical procedure at Spire Roding Hospital on Wednesday and will be unavailable for one week. He will return to training in the middle of next week."

Back in training then? Or head fell off first day back, and now out until the new year?

He's fucking useless.

POOyate, as shit as he has been, is 10 times the player.

Re: Injured players returning
Yeah he hasn't started well, but everything I read and heard when we signed him was positive. Maybe it's time for a 5/6 game run in the centre.

I would personally go

Norwegian - Pedders

Lanzo - Skipp - Payet

FLETCH

Has anyone figured out if bringing Carroll back gradually actually has any positive impact on how quickly he gets injured again?

I think he's been injured so many times, they've tried every which way, but he still ends up injured again.

As many have said re Carroll...

Own worst enemy...poor lifestyle habits...early in career...and until recently...

But maybe he has improved his approach recently...or not...with all night sprees...???

Re: Injured players returning
Slav article on the OS looks promising.

We also hope to see a few more of the injured players back in contention in the next few weeks.
Diafra Sakho is improving. He's running, sprinting and doing the ball work. He's almost there and is back on the pitch.

If he continues like that he will be back very soon. When his move to West Brom didn't happen I said of course he is our player. He's under contract and he's a player I like.

Some of these players have been out for a long time. When it is a smaller injury, you can say they are going to be back on Friday or next Friday. With this, they are out for a long time.

Andre Ayew did it in the first game against Chelsea. Andy Carroll got injured in the Romania game. Both of them got injured in a strange way. With Carroll, it was only three days after Chelsea.

Andre is supposed to start training with us on Monday, but not from the massage room. He is already doing ball work, sprints and everything.
Training individually is one thing, training with the guys is another thing. The games are totally different.

There are three steps. They are not in the treatment room, they are on the pitch. Then they have to train with us.

Then after training with us, they need match practice because their injuries were long term. But they are going to be back soon.

Carroll is a myth. He doesnt exist. He IS Kaiser Soze. The greatest trick West Ham pulled was making us think we broke our transfer record. He's Santa. He's a pixie. A fairy. Bigfoot. There's photos sure, but theyre inconclusive.

Troy - he's not a myth but more of an Alex Higgins or Keith Floyd figure I think

Re: Injured players returning
According to that ex-whu bloke, Arbeloa is out for a few weeks? Though no details about the nature of the injury. Other stuff about the Oxford situation, other clubs interested in Zaza etc here..

http://www.thewesthamway.co.uk/2016/10/16/exwhuemployee-exclusive-column-injuries-explained-transfers-discussed/

Byram suffered a bad hamstring strain and will be about for around 6-8 weeks, Masuaku should be back in a month and Arbeloa will not be available for a few weeks. I personally would continue with the same system and maybe play Feghouli as the left wing back, although I have no idea whether he has played there before. Bringing in Oxford or Collins and playing Ogbonna there could be another option.

Good news is that Ayew is progressing very well from his injury and is ahead of schedule for his comeback. He should start to train with the first time at the end of the month/start of the new one and this will be a massive boost for us. With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho their return is much harder to predict. Both were meant to be available for the Palace game but the players and their injury situation have always been delicate because they are both so prone to it. Therefore I can’t predict and the club try to avoid estimating when they will be back.
